To be perfectly honest from my own humble opinion. You can't make anyone love you. People choose to give of their very essence to enjoy the evolving essence of others. This is a two way street. It happens only when two people are completely open(truthful) and vulnerable(real) with each other. The same principle applies to ANY type of close relationship. Many of us feel we must change ourselves emotionally and physically for others to except us and deem us worthy. Throughout my life, I have watched people enjoy, dismiss and misunderstand my essence. I've come to realize that "it's inevitable". You must remain your authentic self no matter what others make of you. This is the part of you that survived from childhood. It is the place that can cry, laugh, cry and laugh again. I watch my daughter do this often.
This is indeed authentic. Life and other's misunderstanding of authenticity can make you cry and laugh a lot. NEVER stop being open and vulnerable. It makes you human and far removed from the world's perception and definition of "stupid". Loving others is never an act of stupidity. Some of us repeatedly love those who lack openness and vulnerability. While some of us are on the other side of this spectrum. That really doesn't matter. The cooperate is childhood trauma. We have to deal with the injured or misunderstood child that still lives within us all.
We often love the idea of "love". Don't judge yourself if you are a person who shows your authentic self to others. You aren't weak or overly emotional. You are lovable and that is something that everyone can't except or fully grasp if they can't be their OWN authentic self.
